Our Values
Mukinbudin District High School was established in 1923 and moved to its current site in 1925. In 1972 the School was upgraded to a District High School. In 2015 the School became an Independent Public School with a parent, staff and community orientated Board which has four Business Goals based around ‘CARE’ in all areas of operation but focussed on ‘Successful Students’.

Mukinbudin District High School aims to ensure a strongly supportive learning environment which provides all students with opportunities to achieve their personal best and develop into independent learners, positive individuals and responsible citizens. One way we do this is our innovative use of technology. Our school has Wi-Fi access all over the site that supports our technological needs. Our teachers engage in mediums such as ClickView, Pr1me, Storybox and other web based resources to extend and develop cutting edge and exciting learning programs.
Mukinbudin District High School has a Secondary Program incorporating Years 7-12 students that involves onsite tuition for all Year 7-10 students. Our Year 11 + 12’s work from SIDE (onsite) but we ensure they have as many opportunities as possible. Secondary students often participate in cross school activities such as Country Week, Try-a-Trade Sessions and Interschool Swimming and Athletics Carnivals.

Educating students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12
Teaching staff at the school are well supported by parents and a community that strongly values education. With the support of the P&C the School continues to upgrade its facilities and resources. Together with the community and some great grant writing we have ensured we are the recipients of many fabulous opportunities and resources.
Mukinbudin District High School continues to work towards ongoing improvement and demands the highest possible results from its students. The dedicated staff (all) commit long hours to the education of the students and actively pursue professional development opportunities for continuous self-improvement. The school takes great pride in its inclusive nature and has developed a very strong and active learning support team to assist all students. We have students participating in PEAC programs, Specialist intervention programs, a School Chaplain, Individualised Education Plans and a Whole Staff Pastoral Care focus.
Our School is a part of the Eastern Wheatbelt Education Network (EWEN) which is made up of Southern Cross DHS, Moorine Rock PS, Nungarin PS, Kellerberrin DHS, Bruce Rock DHS and Merredin College.
Mukinbudin DHS is also a part of the NINGHAN Cell of schools, consisting of Trayning P.S, Beacon P.S, Bencubbin P.S, Koorda P.S and Nungarin P.S. We join together regularly to participate in sporting, cultural and social events.
This collaboration allows us to use our collective buying power to access training and resources locally at best cost. This partnership also gives us a diverse way to meet the needs of our students through shared learning goals, learning teams across schools and whole of network strategies.
